  • Hello Pop? No, High-Pop

Posted: November 29, 2008, 3:57 am by Frank

You heard it here first! Rap and hip-hop is in its last days. A offshoot off the hip-hop/rap genre is being born. I am coining this new genre HI-POP(high pop), or HIP-POP or RAPOP(Rap and Pop). The release this year of Kanye Wests 808s and Heartbreak, and Lil Wayne's Carter 3 are cultural turning points in this. Rap is we knew it for 3 decades(1978-2008) is not going to be the major force it once was. From Kool Herc to Kanye West, the genre has come a long way. Other originators of this genre are Kid Cudi,Max-B,Lil Wayne, Pharell Williams,Charles Hamilton and B.O.B. [Edit: Well I can see the term was already coined a while ago. So I cant take credit for that, in any case my assertion still stands. I think there is a shift in the culture that is turning to the more pop-rap catgeory)

I wont say I prophesied this, but I'll just say I'm not surprised it happened. It's all part of the New Gay Agenda I've been talking about.

I believe we are beginning to see a turning point on this issue.Right now the gay movement is unleashing the bulk of their anger toward the Mormon Church. I dont know which way the pivot will swing, but swing it will.

  • The new Gay Agenda

Posted: November 16, 2008, 6:18 am by Frank

So Proposition 8 was passed in the state of California and the homosexual community in the U.S is mighty angry about this. Proposition 8 was an amendment to the California state constitution which keeps a marriage between one man and one woman, as it has always been. This was an item on the ballot during the just concluded 2008 presidential election. At first it went by unnoticed except for some spontaneous rallies in California. But the protests have started spreading countrywide and the (Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual and Transgender)GLBT community are determined to get their "rights" by hook or by crook. They are even looking at the Supreme Court to overturn the decision of the people. Some within the community are blaming African-Americans and Latino's(who voted largely Yes) for passing this amendement.

Although homosexual people(I dont prefer the term gay) already have their civil unions which have basically all the same rights as a marriage, they are still determined to get their "same-sex" marriage. The question is why? It is pretty obvious to me. They dont just want to have the same equality as the rest of society, they want the rest of society to endorse their lifestyle. This is what I refer to as the New Gay(or Same-Sex) Agenda. It is no longer enough for homosexual people to live and let live. Homosexuals want to force the rest of society to agree with and accept their lifestyle. It is not enough that homosexuals just do whatever they do in the comfort of their bedrooms and life goes on, no,no, oh no! They must now throw it in your face and change the laws until those who dont agree with them are boxed in and shut up.

Some who may not even agree with homosexual practice may wonder what all the fuss is about and say "so what let them get married, it wont affect me." I dont see it that way. If you think the GLBT community is going to take their marriage "cake" and be content, then I think you are naive. The New Gay Agenda is one that ensures homosexuals will be present in every facet of life, nothing will be safe anymore. This is actually the aspect of this issue I am quite concerned with. What will stop the homosexual community if and when they get their marriage from forcing churches(and here I mean God-fearing ones) to marry them. It is not too far-fetched to think of some in the GLBT community from suing churches who will refuse to marry them claiming equal rights. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah is quite a good picture of this. In that story Lot had invited two angels into his house, but soon the men were demanding the angels come out so that they could have sex with them. So it was not just everyone go about their lives, its you have to come outside and participate and/or agree with my lifestyle which is what the New Gay agenda is transforming into.

The homosexual community now have a lot influence especially in Hollywood, and the media(which they have used effectively). Why do you think a big percentage of Americans now support this lifestyle, when just a few decades ago it was unheard of? Well they have utilized the media(which is very infuential) to change minds of especially young people, who now buy into all their arguments about it not being a choice, etc. Acceptance of homosexuality also means undermining the Truth of Scripture(no matter which way you look at it.) Homosexuality is one of the things that is the most forcefully condemned in The Bible, and to accept it means to disagree with some very clear verses of Scripture, not to mention Gods intentions during Creation.

What's to stop polygamists, pedophiles, and people with all kinds of sexual fantasies from demanding their rights in future? After all, they were born with those feelings right? Where will the line in the sand be drawn?

    Description:
Kanjii - "Stories" Album Launch FINALLY!!! Kanjii Mbugua (of Milele and Mavuno worship project fame) is launching his very first solo album entitled 'Stories' at the end of this year (December 7th 2008). Though he has been in the music industry forwell over a decade, he has never quite found the season to be right forhim to launch his solo career...that time has finally arrived. The idea of 'Stories' is one that has been evolving and developing overthe years. Being a passionate observer of life and a contemporary storyteller - Kanjii found that the songs he wrote were actually stories toldfrom different life perspectives. And that's what the album promises tobe...one good long listen! His first single off the album is entitled 'Just a Man'; a beautifulconcept; where so often men in urban Africa are required to be strong andinvincible. In as much as that has its place - this song shows us avulnerable, alternative side of a man...which both men and women onlistening, have come to appreciate. The 'Stories' album launch, set for Sunday December 7th at the CarnivoreGrounds 5:30pm, promises not to disappoint. Kanjii intends to take hislisteners through adventures, romances, drama, thrillers, poetry andinspiration as he weaves a thread of stories through his music. Definitelynot something you want to miss! So after posting those two new Hazakim tracks I wanted to go back and see what other Hazakim stuff I had posted and I was surprised that I had never posted this song. Anyway, better late than never. I first saw this video about two years ago (and the song that introduced me to the rap duo) and it has grown to be in my opinion one of the best Gospel rap songs yet made. I remember the second time I heard it it almost brought me to tears. Its not an official video, but something I think a fan put together but powerful nonetheless.

Posted: November 10, 2008, 3:45 am by Frank
Now you know I wasnt going to end my dedication the great Queen of Africa Miriam Makeba with just that short post. Oh wow, no,never! There are not enough words in my vocabulary to describe how much I'll miss this lady. She is and has been one of my favorite singers ever. I have been listening to Miriam Makeba's music since I was a toddler in the 80s and I basically grew up with her. My whole family did. She was one of the few artists my whole family loved(and could listen to), mother, father, sisters, brothers. We all liked her music because you felt that she spoke for us and for the whole of the African continent. She also gave the world a window into what was hapening in South Africa at a time when dissenting voices were silenced. Although she lived in exile for 31 years she made sure to express to the world through music just what was happening in South Africa under the oppressive white rule. Who can forget the heart-wrenching Khauleza song about life in apartheid South Africa. She must have once been the most famous singer in Africa or at least female singer. We knew many of her songs, like the song she made world reknown Malaika. She was also the first black African woman to win a Grammy in 1965. I have always loved Mama, and in fact I purchased her album Country Girl a few months back because it was a childhood favorite. Aside from her stunning good looks, she just embodied the strong and caring African mother who could be from any country. In that way, we all felt that she was our second mother. Her sweet, affectionate voice would also remind me of the times my mum would sing me lullabies to sleep and in that way Miriam Makeba was a mother to us all in Africa. Not to mention she just had raw, artistic and unique talent that cannot be duplicated. She also became famous in a time in Africa during the 60s,70s when we had musical giants and she happened to be one of the foremost of them. I could go on and on about Miriam Makeba and what her legacy will be, but I think I'll leave that for the music experts and autobiographers. For now I will just encourage all of you to say a small prayer of thankyou to the late, great Miriam for what she contributed to our continent in terms of not just music, but hope, inspiration, human dignity and freedom, and also being a wonderful mother to us all. In South Africa it must be especially hard right now as she was their voice of hope during oppression, and added to the fact that they just lost another great Lucky Dube last year(another voice against apartheid). Miriam Makeba, you were the greatest.

I am kind of emotional right now. I just read a small article on BBC website stating that Miriam Makeba passed away on December 9th,2008 while ill in Italy. Aside from my slight anger that the article was so small and hidden on the site, I am just deeply sad that such a profound, talented and wonderful legend of Africa and African music has died.

May you rest in peace Mama Africa.

    Venue: Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi

    Time: 9am - 6pm

Description: TheCall is a multi-racial, multi-generational, and cross-denominational gathering to corporate prayer and fasting. We believe that our nation is in desperate need of the mercy of God and a great Spiritual Awakening. TheCall is committed to mobilizing people from all across the nation to gather together to petition God for His undeserved mercy for our nation in a solemn assembly. Just as in the days of Joel, we believe that now is the time to blow the trumpet across our land, to fast, to pray, and return to the Lord with all our hearts. In the midst of an “entertainment” driven society, TheCall does not seek to entertain, but to encounter God. Unlike other mass gatherings which attract people through the rhythms of loud music, the glamour of flashing lights, or through the appeal of charismatic personalities, TheCall is a gathering centered around the affections of a loving God. It will be a gathering of the hungry. There will be no advertised bands and no promoted speakers, as our purpose is not to promote any man or ministry.TheCall is a FAST not a festival. TheCall is a SOLEMN ASSEMBLY not a conference. Whereas conferences focus primarily on training and discipleship, the day of TheCall is spent primarily before the Lord in the place of prayer and worship. We believe the hour is late and the times are urgent. Our nation is in desperate need of revival and it will be through the corporate body of Christ uniting in the place of prayer that we will find hope in this hour. We believe we can see our nation changed as the Lord pours out His Spirit and brings refreshing to the broken, destitute, and the weary across our land.

A black man is now the most powerful person on the planet. Definitely never dreamed I would see this day in my lifetime.

America has proved that at her best she can be a great nation. Yes, she has had her dark history and black spots, but which nation hasn't. I hope this will spark more black people to live up to our great potential. I wish Africa, its leaders and people would also look at this as inspiration to do better. This is for all the slaves, and people who went thorugh discrimination and racism,hangings,hose-downs and all manner of racial prejudice. Somehwere Martin Luther King Jr. is smiling. We are not n*ggers or coons or lazy, we as a people can achieve great heights if we are dedicated to it. Kudos to Barack Obama, America and all the voters. I am proud that my native country Kenya has produced the U.S presidency.

(On another note I'm just imagining how much Obama's security has been beefed up right now.)

I think this election will demostrate the new power and influence that minorities in the U.S are now beginning to possess. It is no longer just a "white" nation. Minority groups from Asians, to Muslims, Latinos to African-Americans are going to determine the outcome of this election, and not necessarily white people. Times are-a-changing.

I think this is outrageous. But I also see it as the inevitable result of a Godless society. If this is the secular future of society then I really hope not to live in it.
